Service of Remembrance, Montview Church

This service creates a ritual for honoring grief by using the Advent candles to explore the range of emotion people often encounter during the holiday season. Rebecca and Steve combine music from their repertoire with readings of poetry, scripture, and prose to explore experiences of distress and peace, despair and hope, sorrow and joy, and apathy and love. The service concludes with a candle lighting ceremony for all in attendance who wish to remember loved ones who have passed away.
